Our travels
You can see our first trip where we could sleep in the same room LEGALLY! on the honeymoon page...this starts with our 3-month anniversary trip to visit my sister Ginni and her beau David in Cathlamet, Washington on July 4th weekend.
We don't get around as much as each of us did back before we were married, but we had far more fun now...  I firmly believe life was made to be shared - with family, with friends...with you all!!
push the ground harder!
To the right, David explains to Sandi that this is not an effective way to kayak and that water is a far better medium for boats, as Ginni demonstrated below.
nice feet!
Sandi finds the water (finally)
"Jumping" over logs was a favorite pasttime for Ginni - the rest of us seemed to spend more time stuck on them...
success at last!
Ramming speed - I can take 3 of them out in one fell swoop!
Above is proof that Sandi finally did make it out on the water.  I have no proof that he actually paddled, though (see his dry paddle above).  He spent a great deal of time taking many of the pictures shown on this page.
I'm not as good as Ginni, but after much pushing off the log and rocking my weight back and forth, I can finally get the boat over the log...

deep in the weeds entering Bernie Slough
After get- ting out of the weeds, we floated down Bernie Slough across the street from the farm below, complete with barn and 'Bago...

Ginni put us to work moving tons of
gravel (literally!), then expected us to be able to juggle - it took us both!
see the knife in his right hand?? such picturesque faces!

David juggles a knife - while we clear the area...
Ginni runs a kayak business - giving lessons and taking unsuspecting folks for the float of their lives off Mexico's Baja Peninsula.  For more info, visit her website:
