Our life ranges from the surface of the earth to about 40,000 feet at times.  Typically we live at 6,500 feet above sea level and work at 4,100 feet above sea level at Holloman Air Force base. We love our home and the "fighter pilot" birds that joint us for dinner whenever we eat out on the deck.

Nothing like a little life on the edge - biking on a stormy day in a tunnel that is every bit as tall as it looks in the picture. (Below) The garage - and our little bike collection.

When your well runs dry, you get creative.  We installed another gutter to augment our water supply (duct tape required).  But I didn't tell Sandi about the spider just inside the eave (on the support beam, nearly as wide as his arm).

Of course there is more friendly wildlife around - this caterpillar is as big around as my thumb!
